West Central Return to in-person Learning Plan
Initial Plan: June 7, 2021; Reviewed December 2, 2021; Updated on February 10, 2022; Updated March 3, 2022; Reviewed June 6, 2022West Central will maintain student and staff health safety and ensure continuity of services for academic and social-emotional needs through the following steps:
- Learning will be in-person, five days a week as per the approved calendar
- Should in-person learning be canceled, the school will utilize its elearning day procedures already in place for inclement weather
- Air quality improvements will be pursued at the middle/senior high school and the elementary school through a licensed and qualified HVAC company
- Teachers will continue to instruct students on handwashing etiquette and other topics of surface and sanitary concern
- West Central will use ESSER II & Ill Funds to provide extra staffing for interventions, instructional technology, professional development, and air quality enhancements for the campus
- Individuals who test positive for COVID-19 should remain out of school until symptoms are no longer present, with close contacts quarantining if they show symptoms of COVID-19
- West Central will work with the county health department to ensure vaccinations are available to all students and staff who desire them

- Students with health conditions will be provided with appropriate accommodations to their specific, documented, health needs
- Public comments were sought from all key stakeholders and recorded on June 4, 2021 through an online survey and at School Board meetings
- This plan will be reviewed every 6 months as per ESSER Ill Guidelines
